A wonderful look at Pico whalers up to 1980’s. Documentary produced in 1970 of whaling on Pico was fascinating as well as the wonderful exhibits (including some National Geographic photos), and a library in a beautiful building space. It’s worth it to go to both...More

Good documentary! Must see. Museum in authentic place. Not too big, perfect for an 1,5h or so. Friendly staff.

another fine photo exhibit by pepe brix, different movie on the whalers' saga, always attentive staff ready to help and clarify, nice library (where I found copies of my books)

Very good little museum, minimal entry fee and very interesting exhibits. Highlight for us was the 1970 documentary on whaling on the island, very armospheric. Some caution needed for sensitive (vegetarian) children.
