I have been in bigger forts with lots of cannons and stone walls, but for the price paid this one is a good investment to spend a nice couple of hours. The outside is nice and the inside museus very interesting.

The Fortress affords beautiful views of the city and the port. It is well worth a visit just for the views but it also contains a military museum.

We went to visit this amazing place with a lot of history inside. Really nice feeling of all war and history. The money you have to pay will be worth it. There's a lot of exhibitions inside and you can easily spend 3 hours or more inside if you really like history.

This imposing fort sits at the end of the main road along the waterfront. It is fronted by a war memorial and contains an army base as well as a museum, but its size and original function can just as well be appreciated from outside

Very well preserved fortification from old times when pirates and corsaries like to "visit " the island. This fort was a defense unit. A lot of artefacts like weapons, artilhery and so on.

Everyone should see the effort, which defended their possessions, their families from malicious newcomers arriving from the sea. History has shown the same moments in this small island also demanding great strength from the men who served and serve (!) in the fort.

Arrived one morning and thought we would have a look around and with the entrance fee very resonable-E2 ?.There are many different rooms and passageways all seem underground and there were many black/green patches of damp and the whole place needed some TLC. Many small guns and larger mounted guns outside, but under cover. A lot did not have any English... More

When entering the Forte, we felt immediatly lost, the signage is fairly unclear and the men in military uniforms weilding large weapons really didn't encourage our psyche to explore too much. A friendly soldier (I assume) showed us the way to admission. After paying admission, there are signs directing you where to go as you wear lanyards claiming your status... More
