The gardens were beautiful with plenty of shaded seating. Everything seemed pretty well maintained. We had hoped to enjoy the obstacle course in the air garden but could not find it. We asked about it and was told it is closed despite the web site...More

I loved the underlying structure of this garden and the magnificent old trees. It needs some renovation, but the gates and fountains are beautiful. Many sections are closed to the public.

Towards the river, the Botanical Gardens - Portugal's largest - host an amazing collection of plants, collected from all parts of Portugal's far flung empire. Tranquil and beautiful, it is one not to be missed

This was not worth the effort of all the steps. Mostly closed off to the public and does not look like a proper botanical garden at all. Very disappointing!
