This beach is quite small, so it may get crowded quickly. It's in the middle of the city, so if you can go somewhere else I would definitely recommend it - you will be able to avoid tourists and have some space.

Praia da Conceicao beach and adjoining Praia da Duquesa are the heart of beach life in Cascais. Few steps from City Centre, so easy to get. Lots of different restaurants and bars near, so you can refresh yourself after sunbathing. On a sunny day(especially during...More
The largest beach in Cascais lies east of Rua Frederico Arouca (the main, mosaic-paved street in town) and is the best place to lounge on the sands with a drink in your hand. The April afternoon was so hot that we even went swimming -...More

I've been to many seas with cold water, especially in the eagean sea but this felt pretty cold. The sea is shallow, you need to keep walking until it gets a little deeper. It's children's day in the morning but around 11:30 they start leaving...More
Fine golden sand beach well protected from the Atlantic Ocean. For us the water was comfortable at about 70 F/20C. Gradual entrance to the water, which is great for kids swimming or paddling. Loungers and umbrellas available for rent.
