A 1-hour train from Lisbon, this is a beautiful town to visit. A little too tourist-oriented for a "real" Portugese, small town experience, but a nice area to walk (and we did see people using the beach).

Nice place to stop for a couple of hours, full of the normal touristy stuff but if you look carefully you can find some really nice shops that sell better quality goods

Great beach, marina, and historic sites. Town is very friendly for casual shopping, dining, food stalls, flea markets, and friendly people. Surprisingly uncrowded.

We loved historic center of Cascais and the surrounding areas. Imagine a beach town with history ,culture, stunning architecture and natural beauty. This place is so pedestrian friendly. We walked to the farmers and flea market, the organic store, the museums and beaches. …

Great spot to see, nice shops and great views. It was very foggy and the day we were there but the area is very interesting and I’m sure you can see forever in the distance and a clear day going in February was not crowded and fun to get around.
