The best short walking trail in the greater Lisbon (about one mile). And the bar/cafe at the top is also, in my opinion, the one with the best view in the greater Lisbon. I know what I’m talking about, I’ve lived here for 50 years...More

We look for natural experiences when we travel, and in our own backyard as well. My boyfriend had been part of a work effort on the dunes to help restore them to more of a natural state a couple of years ago, so we went...More

the "information center" isn't really interesting the bar/bistro is a cheap selfservice place where you help yourself to a drink in a plastic cup... not really attractive positive aspects: walk in the dunes and sunset views

Great little spot for a coffee and snack. Sitting on a hill overlooking the coast you can either walk on a raised wooden path through the nature reserve or via a road set back from the coast. Nice place to watch the sun going down

If you are in the area stop by and take the nature trail to have a closer look at the sand dunes. It's a circular trail made of wooden planks perfect for an easy 40 min walk with beautiful views.

This is a nice and easy walk (less than 1/2 hour) through the dunes, on a wooden path, with nice views over the Praia do Guincho.

I've been to Cascais several time but never had the time to walk through the dunes? It's so beautiful ! This tour takes you throughout Cresmina-Guincho dunes along a dedicated footpath which is good because you don't destroy the nature and you don't get sand...More

Many times we have walked in the Areia-Guincho Beach area and across the dunes on the boardwalk to the visitors center/cafe for lunch afterwards. So, one rainy Sunday morning, 22 members of International Women in Portugal enjoyed the 2.5 km guided tour on the boardwalk...More

These sand dunes are dynamic - they do move. They are behind the praias Cresmina and Guincho. The visitors centre, which includes a cafe, gives detailed information about the formation of the dunes and their conservation. Well worth a visit. There is a boardwalk that...More
