We jumped off the tube at the Chiado stop and took a stroll down towards Pink Street and thought we would get a drink or two. Sadly on approaching the pink street area we were approached numerous times being offered all sorts of drugs. this made myself and wife feel very uneasy. There was no subtlety or shame what so... It is a nice part of town where you will easily find somewhere for a coffee, meal or drink. We ended up around Chaido on most evenings it is close to Barrio Alto. There are high street shops and banks in the locality too.

Chiado os a great place to visit in the centre of Lisbon. In the evening it becomes vibrant with many restaurants and bars/cafes near by creating a great vibe.

A gorgeous square full of local activity and lovely lights. It leads nicely to the Carma Convent and the Chiado Museum which are roughly 10 mins walk away.

Primarily the upscale shopping area of Lisbon, you can find some great coffeehouses and don't miss Santi Ice Creams on the Rua do Carmo. With a comsopolitan vibe, this is also the main gathering area for the gay scene in Lisbon.

Probably the busiest area of Lisbon we visited. Full of restaurants, bars and people buzzing around. Plenty of room within Chiado to just sit, chill and watch the world go round. Lots of taxis on offer too. On the last day of our 3 night break my wife and i must of been offered drugs 4-5 times!! Not nice and... More
