This is a beautiful church with an impressive dome. The bell towers are traditionally kept and the statues adorning the walls give a real sense of history. My 9 year old thought it looked nice and he usually complains at these sorts of visits.

A beautiful church, great arhitecture. You can pay and go up on the roof. The church only opens at certain hours (we went inside at 3 pm).

Beautiful church and so peaceful. We visited during a tuk tuk tour. The architecture and the ceiling are amazing. It is well worth a visit and a walk around the church. The history of the building is also interesting. Whilst visiting, you can walk across...More

It is hard to impress me with architecture and more so with churches, but this is really something special! I highly recommend going inside and expect to be speechless of how detailed and impressive it is!

I found this basilica much more impressive than the Se, the main cathedral of Lisbon. This basilica is more aged, more grand. You can climb to the bell tower.

Located close to our hotel is the Estrela Basilica and tram 28 stops directly outside. The church is much larger than we thought with a very large dome which you can climb to.
