I was looking for a park for a few hours before my flight. Hardin do Torel is a lovely little place to sit on a bench if you want to stay away from the crowd and enjoy the nature/view for a minute.

A hidden spot in the city where a decent view can be found. Take the tram to the top unless you're happy with the steep climb on a warm day.

I came across this by accident on one of my early morning walks in the narrow streets of Lisbon. The views over the city are fabulous. I came back in the afternoon to enjoy the sun, the view and a beer from the little café there.

Hmmm...well, depends on your definition of a park. This, in effect, is a viewpoint with relatively small amount of grass and over shadowing trees. Great view to stop off and even end the day when the sun goes diwn but you're not going to spend the day here. The 'beach' within looked like a deserted stone bath in late April

Jardim do Torel is located in the city centre, but is still not widely known, not by locals and most certainly not by tourists. It has a great view of the eastern slope of Bairro Alto and the center, a cafe near by and is just 5 min away from the Avenida de Liberdade. It does not present a priority... More

Nice spot to have a quick stop and get a good view over Lisbon towards the castle. Not worth a special trip but good to include en route somewhere...

It's a beautiful garden with a great view. They have a small "beach" there, but I must confess, I didn't enjoy it very much. Too small with lots of people. But the garden has a great view.

From the Avenida Liberdade, walk down Rua dos Condes and left at the end to Elavador do Gloria (included in Viva Viagem & similar cards, otherwise EUR3.90). This is the oldest elavador that is missed by most tourists. Turn left twice at the top and enter the Jardim do Torel, which has great views and is a lovely spot for... More

Nice place with nice view of Lisbon, however the idea of the beach there is not very positive... The bar and place itself were enough. The view and a chill out musica woudl be ok !

Truly a hidden gem. It is not so touristic as some places/parks/viewing points, so I recommend it fully. BEWARE: the team is out of order (from 28-06-2014 until 5 weeks later) so you have to walk up the hill. But the view, the calmness it brings and the cleanliness of the park make it a great place. Have fun.
