The Church of São Vicente de Fora (specifically the church and not the monastery, which has its own Trip advisor listing) is probably more impressive from the outside that it is from the inside. A very impressive white façade, built in the architectural style known...More

So many beautiful churches in this city. This one is very easy to get to as you walk along the waterfront. Another gorgeous facade as well.

I find it to be one of the most impressive sites in Lisbon. I fail to understand how only few people were there when we visited I highly recommend to see the huge monastery with all the decorations in the different halls.

Igreja da Sao Vicente de Fora was a beautiful church of Renaissance architectural style. The front facade was particularly impressive. View of this church from the Castle at hilltop was stunning especially during sunset period.

This church is a very interesting place if you are into architecture. It´s style is late Renaissance, you can see it in its majestic façade and the general structure: a huge barrel vault, simplicity of lines, despite the altars and, especially its baldachin which are...More

So much history, well maintained and very friendly staff. The sacristy is very beautiful with lots of details. The Royal pantheon keeps the remaining parts of the Royal dynasty.. The view from the roof is spectacular..

Located close to the Castelo, this is another church of historical significance. With slightly complex architecture compared to the Lisbon Cathedral, it's another must visit if you're in Lisbon.

This church is big and not so interesting. But next door is the knock-out! Make sure you go to the monastery to see the incredible tile work. Lovely spot.

For a 5 eur ticket you get an amazing view. Alos the church is not crowded! Worth visiting it if you are in the area.

You can be thankful that most common travel guides
don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part
of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel
like independent villages in the capital's center, and
more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants
and parks, as well as important monuments like the S.
Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a
spectacular option for those looking for a more
