Tram 28 terminates here. As far as cemeteries go this is quite grand and interesting. Lots of tombs above ground, peaceful to stroll round. Café near by to refresh those mortal remains.

We don't normally think of visiting a cemetery, but we were in the area we wanted to have a quiet wander around. It was surprisingly interesting for us and totally calm and well maintained, with tree lined paths of very decorative mausoleums and tombs. There...More

We went here from the Lxfactory by Uber and spend about two hours walking over the cemetery and diving into the story of it. It is a very different way of having coffins which are above ground in little family crypts. There were barely any...More

At the end of tram 28 and steps from a lovely market building, the pleasures cemetery is well worth a visit. It was a gloriously clear day so we got excellent views of the 25th of April bridge.

This is not the typical tourist site but it is a good glimpse into the culture of Portugal. This is one of the most beautiful and interesting cemetery I've visited. There's even streets in this cemetery. Totally amazing. Definitely a must visit.

A peaceful place to wander on a sunny day. Avenues of above-ground crypts are laid out like a small suburb, with surprising things to see around many corners. Look for the monument to Lisbon's firefighters, and the tomb lovingly shaped like a carpenter's workbench complete...More
