These lovely gardens, close to Ajuda Palace, were a nice break on a warm summer day. The gardens are not large - one can easily criss-cross the area in 30 minutes - but should be an essential stop for anyone passing by. The white peacock...More

Let me first say that I am probably a botanical garden snob... I have been spoiled by Longwood Gardens in the US and Victoria Gardens in Canada. However, after walking around the city for hours, a brief respite in this pleasant garden is a great...More

It is necessary ti be more serious with such a nice and important garden. Very poor signing and overall information support. Still it is nice

A very nice but small botanic garden. Well preserved, very huge trees, some peacocks around you. The water fountains are under maintenance. You can have a feeling of exclusivity in such a nice and empty space. Lovelly!

Quiet, relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Be aware you may be surprise by a curious peacock.

The gardens were impeccable and very affordable (students €1, adults €2) Peacocks, succulents, cactus and orchid greenhouses surrounded the organised architectural topiary. With the occasional tree that takes you by surprise. Love gardens- go...More
