Halfway between Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, you cannot miss this tribute monument to the aviators after whom it is named, in memory of their journey across the South Atlantic from Lisbon to Rio in the early 20's. What a tribute to...More

In the same park as the Tower of Belem. Didn't learn the history behind it until I got back to a computer. Nice monument to the two men who crossed the south Atlantic in 1922.

There are a lot of monuments around Lisbon but, this one is really cool. It's right there in front of you when you get of the HOHO so you can not miss it. A nice way for Portugal to honor their navigators.

The monument near to Belem Tower is dedicated to the Portuguese aviators on their first flight across South Atlantic. Travelers will pass by this spot when viewing the other sights by the waterfront and worth to take photos with it.

Nice to see and know about but nothing much. Just a simple introduction and that's all. Nice to replicate a certain history to memorize it
