This beautiful little park also has a native tree which I have not seen anywhere else in Funchal. Nice place to rest when exploring the city center.

The Municipal garden in the centre of Funchal is only small but includes a duck pond, a small amphitheater or bandstand and seating to relax. Very nice and neat

For the serious garden lover, the array of plants here is stunning and it's right in the middle of Funchal. On the other hand, even if you're no botanist, it's a brilliant place to take a stroll on a hot day..

A nice botanical garden, however unless you have a real interest in botanics you could get round in half an hour. There are a few nice photo opportunities, and some nice views of Funchal below. Other than that I wouldn't go again.

A short walk from the port this garden has beautiful views of the city, the mountainside and the ocean. It is a lovely park with varied flowering trees and plants and a pond and fountain and lots of lovely green space.

Our hotel was a stone’s throw away from the municipal gardens. Everyday, I made it a point to make the garden my first stop before I went anywhere. The trees are just amazing, many of them found in other parts of the world but you...More

At €6.00 entry fee this place is certainly a must see. The gardens are extensive, clean and well manicured. The fariety of trees, flowers, herbs and fruits reflect the diversity of crops that flourish on this incredible island.
