Funchal's old town is compact and easy to navigate. Visit the cathedral, museums and shops, or stop for a meal at one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Lovely old quaint streets with some very interesting painted doors by various artists, depicting a variety of subjects. Lots of cafes and restaurants. Some individual craft and art shops.
