Other reviewers covered everything I might have said. I think this is a must-see and a significant advantage is that it’s less touristy than other places, even in beautiful September weather. For us this was a day trip but I would definitely stay a night...More

Guimarães is worth a visit, you will not regret spending a day here! We went to Guimaraes by train from Porto and we could do everything on foot. All attractions are close to each other. The historical center is interesting and different from other cities...More

Beautiful Nice people Good sweets Monuments Cable car Good food Places to visit: Plataforma das Artes, museu Alberto Sampaio e Martins Sarmento. The castle and the palace. By bus or cable car visit the mountain, Penha.
