The wonderful hidden treasure City of Guimaraes has this precious plaza the Largo da Oliveira. Surrounded by local cafes and restaurants is this plaza a centre for the tourists. All is in walking distance and last but not least , no car traffic !just wonderful...More

Lovely traditional welcome to this slice of history. Walk around the square or sit at the restaurants all around and enjoy your time with a coffee and a book.

It is a small square, you will not spend a long time here, maybe 5 minutes (unless you eat at some of the restaurants) but it is good for photos, especially if you catch the chairs of the restaurants totally empty as I did. It...More

Nice square to have a beer at night, a coffee daytime, check out the flea market Saturdays or partake in other activities that occur in the middle of the historic centre of Guimarães.
