This is a great area for a stroll. It is dotted with many cafes offering full meals, ice cream or pastries.

Nice to see the famous ribeira but it is rather busy and full of sub-par restaurants and tat stalls. Nicer in the evening and to see the lights of the city on the river.

Great area for a stroll. Wonderful views of the Dom Luis Bridge and the port houses on the opposite bank. Plenty of restaurants and very busy area. We were there many times over the course of a week.
