Luckily, admission was free. Some of the better works could be in art galleries for sale. Most are at the level of home decorations by a talented family member.

This museum has a good collection of art and sculpture in an interesting building with a pretty garden. It is a short walk out of the city centre.

I recently visited the Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis in Porto, Portugal. Great exhibition of the artist José de Almada Negreiros entitled "Drawing in Motion." Permanent collection contains art from various European countries and more. Highly recommend a visit!

The palace is rather nice, the collection a bit boring. Nothing outstanding (OK, maybe some of the sculptures) However, sometimes they have some temporary exhibitions.
