it's a tour to enjoy the view from the river to the city and the 6 bridges. in november it's too late to do the boat trip to enjoy the vineyards of douro: that one should be very nice

We enjoyed walking along the river and the views from our apartment of boats traveling on it. We spent one day on a river cruise to the wine country which was fantastic. The waterfront is the heart of Porto.

We spent day for port tasting and taking boot ride in river and watch the valley, it need up very well. The weather was perfect and great scenery because of fall.

The river is the center of activity for the city. We enjoyed the waterfront with its selection of cafes and restaurants, and beautiful architecture.

Don't miss seeing the Douro valley. We have been to a number of wine areas in the US and Europe, but none quite like the Douro.

The Vincci Porto is on the river near the helipad. Rooftop bar was open so we could watch the boats, river cruises, jet skis go by. The river was wide and looked relatively clean.

The river is a major feature of Porto and one wanders back here for many reasons. Great views, take a cruise, enjoy the city scenery.

Sorry I have only just seen your question. You don't have to hire a boat or driver if you buy the 'blue bus' ticket you get the open top bus tour a boat trip down the river and a visit to a port house all for E22 each well... More
