Maybe it was the weather. We were there and it wasn't as nice as the picture you see here. No flowers, but we could sit on the steps, which was nice.

its a 16th century town hall, interesting building with some exposition on first floor, but it is part of the city center

Fountain of the Republic Square
As you will find the name and picture on the official guide you receive at the tourist office on the fountain of the “Republic Square” or “Praça da Republica”, who you can see almost at the end of the “Praça da Republica was built in the 16th century, being the work of the master gardener João Lopes "the old man", the same one who had run the fountain of Caminha and, most probably, some of the similar fountains that we can find in Galician cities like Pontevedra. It was for several centuries the point of supplying drinking water for the Vianese population.
