Part of the 7 sites 30 euros deal, this is a real ancient cemetery more than 3000 years old. And even after so many years they had an archeological team who still excavates the site and find new artifacts.

This is a neat place to visit but without a guide or a guidebook you won't know much often history. It is an active archeological site.

depending where you are staying this could be a 10 minute walk or a bit longer but the walk alone is very pleasant leading to the Cemetary once inside it is very informative and not packed with tourists so you have plenty of time to...More

This is well worth a visit, if you are a real history buff. What you see today is the real ancient cemetery with monuments recreated in plaster at full size from the original works which are now in the museums. The burials go back 3,100...More

We visited at the end of an afternoon of walking. There is lots to see and learn here. Me and my wife were surprised at how much we enjoyed the walk around and the learning experience.

This is a terrific archaeological site to visit, with very interesting exhibits and artifacts, all with well-written, exhibit texts, in Greek and English. Furthermore, it is quite nice to see the original artifacts inside the museum and, then, afterward, see copies of them in their...More

The site is decent sized, so you enjoy a nice stroll around. I like that they have recreations of some of the monuments out in the site, so you can see what it would have looked like. They also have a museum with many of...More

Even though going to a cemetery does not sound very interesting, there is actually a lot of history there. There is a hill near the entrance where you can see the whole cemetery and also a small church. But when we went in March though,...More

Firstly, this ancient cemetery is set over a large area so allow enough time to see all of it (it opened early but shut at 14:45 when I was there). There are little corners with tombstones and funerary monuments and, if you are like me,...More

Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide
some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost
claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an

the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently
sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron
