Was planning to have a pleasant stroll through this park on the way from the Byzantine Museum to a gelateria. But no, all entrances along Irrodou Attikuo were closed, for no apparent reason. I mean the kind of closure that says "This is open from...More

Very beautiful park with lots of winding paths you can get comfortably lost in. Also something like a little mini zoo sort of place, a playground and a cafe. Great spot to cool down a bit on a hot day.

The park is nice to walk in, it was hard to find an exit becuase some of the gates were unexpectedly closed. Lots of mosquitos but plenty of benches to sit on and rest.

This was an okay place to visit and an easy way to spend some time away from the intense heat in summer. Whilst the park is okay, it is no where near as nice as the parks I am used to in London. There is...More

More of a park or forest, but it is a great place to escape the heat and traffic. Great walk from the Palace to the Stadium.

We decided to change our route and walk through the gardens instead of the roads. It was a nice peaceful walk with plenty of plants and benches to sit. Maps were helpful but it was hard to find an exit point to get back on...More

I’ve been to a lot of National Gardens around the world and this one was not one to write home about. When traveling with two small children we always look for gardens as a place to take a little break, let the kids run off...More

Another walk in the park....literally. There is a small zoo area but get ready to get lost. The maps are confusing as all hell to say the least and the coffee shop is permanently closed.

Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament

Hi Seraphina, I was at the National Garden at the end of May, so I don't know whether it's been reopened (and also hadn't heard that it had been closed). Changing of the guard nearby is fun just in case, as is the nearby... More
