Please note that this is a page on the Old Opera ("Olympia" Theatre), NOT the Stadium of the 1896 Olympics! And yes, the Opera is a wonderful place, we love it and we always enjoy it.

Don't miss the Olympia Theater if you visit Athens. Really impressive. Good for a visit with kids; they can run a full tour and get on the podium afterwards.

During my Athens trip, I took a walking tour and part of it got a chance to see Olympia Theater. Its in excellent condition (restored) and a must visit.

Anyone interested in the Olympic Games this is a must see in the centre of Athens so easy to visit only €5 euro entry and has an audio tour which we did not do. Amazing to think that c70000 people could sit in the area...More

You an view the stadium from the open end. There isn't a huge amount to see, it is after all just a stadium but it is large and impressive and again, it's the sense of history which really makes the visit. Worth visiting if you...More
