Astonishingly pristine-looking pottery and art work 3600y old and more. Unbelievable how much of the pottery which is so beautifully pained has survived.

Stumbled across this while trying to burn up some time until some restaurants opened. The woman at the front desk was nice and even though the sign out front said it was a €4 entrance fee she only charged me €2. After the front desk however the experience was not favorable. The exhibts were much of what I expected but... More

I was fascinated by all the artefacts in the museum. Seeing the fine details in the pottery and statues shows how talented people was ancient times were.

The museum had an interesting exhibition based on Piraeus and the impact war had on the community. However the main attraction is upstairs! They have multiple bronze statues of Athena that you can view.

I am not a big archaeology fan, but I enjoyed this place. Along with the objects inside and outside, there is the site of an ancient theater. An employee gave us a lot of info as we toured the outside part of the museum.

This place is incredible. I'm a bit of history enthusiast and the entire museum was fantastic. So many different pieces amd trinkets that all tell it's own little story. The museum was well set out and presented, I loved reading about each piece and the history of it. Definitely worth a visit, even with the kids - depending on their... More
