Crowded, and a horrible price for two sunbeds, 15€ A single person wasnt given a chanse to pay for just one sunbed, she had to pay ”for the set” My advice is to spend your money on a nicer place.

I visited this beach around half a dozen times in our stay in nearby Kalathas. The bay in itself is a nice friendly, not too deep lagoon. I did notice the locals looking in the water a lot, but was never sure what they were...More

I came back to Stavros beach, after 4 years. The view is stunning, and the water is Crystal clear as usual. It's definitely one of the best beaches near Chania. P.S. Bars, restaurant and equipped beach in Stavros are getting more and more expensive. We...More

We stayed in Chania and took the bus (14) for approx. 45 minutes (2,30 EUR/person/trip) to Stavros beach. The bus stops in several places. The bus stays right by Stavros beach. It’s situated by a mountain on one side and a rounded ”lagoon” that keeps...More

Very disappointing. Small beach area that was very busy. Some tavernas but nothing else really there and not very picturesque. Only worth a quick visit.

The beach has low water and deeper water. Seems good for all purposes. There' s lots of space and 4-5 tavernas. Free parking.

We went in April and I bet it will be similar. For locals it was cool. For us 70's and full sun was enough to swim. Water was refreshing. May be warmer in Oct after summer season. Have fun

Hi. I am not sure as I have visited during June and September, not in April, however the Tavernas are used by many of the locals so I would imagine that they are open in April. Enjoy your trip - it's a great place to... More

Not at Stavros, but I did see windsurfers at Elafonisi Beach in southern Crete. And I saw parasailing in Rethymno. I think I saw parasailing in Malia too.
