We stayed at Ammoudara at the Hotel Akti Corali for 2 nights before catching the ferry to Ios and were very pleasantly surprised to find a lovely beach right on the doorstep. We had direct access to the beach from our hotel and we walked...More

We visited this beach a few times, it was easy to get to via the Number 6 bus from the centre of Heraklion. As beaches go it is Average. Not very clean but not filthy either. The views are OK so long as you don't...More

A lovely beach with fine sand. Perfect for young families wanting to play safely in the sea. Great views and a cooling breeze. Free parking is handy too.

The beach is ok, but considering the beaches Crete has, this one is not the best. I would recommend exploring the island if possible, i liked very much the Voulisma beach.

Had a horrific cocktail on a broken sun lounger. Blocked out the power plant to the left and the stadium on the right. The beach was quite beautiful, the water was clear. Grated my feet into fine slices on the rocks.

A short drive from Kalo Chorio but a much clearer pleasant less crowded beach than the much vaunted Voulisma beach. Three rows of well spaced sun beds all free after your first drinks order. Lunchtime Taverna good as well. Toasties and Omelettes very good value.
