I'm one of Heraklion residents who visit this site more than 2 times per month. It is one of the city’s “jewels”, but also hosts really interesting exhibitions.

If you visit Heraklion do not miss this impossing outside beautiful inside. We lit some candles for our moms inside, words won't prepare you for the colour and beauty inside.

old church that had a art show going on inside. worth checking out if you like old churches-I do. in the busy historic area.

The Church of St. Mark is often host to art collections as well as musical performances. The architecture is a wonderful backdrop for the exhibits that are often found there.

It was cool seeing this fancy church. I don't really go to church, but it was neat seeing all the icons you see on TV.

The church is a little run down and on our day of visiting there was graffiti on the front wall. The area it is located in is great to people watch over a coffee.

The Basilika of St. Mark is located in the heart of the city of Heraklion and it is home to various art exhibitions and at times musical concerts. Lovely building, a little too small for an art gallery but it is a Venetian building (Saint Mark is the patron saint of Venice), was in part ruined afterwards by the Ottomans,... More

A lovely building which houses regular major free exhibitions, We saw an amazing collection of photos from the observatory at Skinakas. One a year or so ago there was a photographic history of recent Crete
