Small beach among small and big rocks, very beautiful if not comfortable

I was driving around the island and towards the famous Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa when two young Greek men, hitch-hikers, asked me to take them to Agia Anna Beach. They... read more

I was driving around the island and towards the famous Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa when two young Greek men, hitch-hikers, asked me to take them to Agia Anna Beach. They said it was an amazing beach and definitely the best one on the island. In my view, it is an amazing beach indeed, for the views it offers: both towards... More

Only 10 minutes careful driving from Chora and you have just arrived. Plenty of parking space especially if you arrive early in the morning! During the high season ( 25 of July - 20 August), the place becomes rather crowding. However if you arrive before 09.00 you will find the best place in the beach.

Odisseas Elitis, the Greek novelist poet once wrote God, how much blue do you spend for not seeing you? refering to the famous blue of Amorgos the same blue that inspired once French director Luc Besson to shoot The Big Blue- the color captures senses in Agia Anna, one of the most beutiful, viirgin, tiny beaches in one of the... The Agia Anna is popular from the Big Blue movie .You can make a nice pictures ,but for swiming it is beter to go from the small tavern down on the stone stairs to the rocky beach

After visiting a monastery it was perfect to refresh in the water by these beach. The beach is rocky, but the rocks give a nice foot massage, they aren't sharp. The water is amazingly clear and you can snorkel here and watch fishes, crabs and rocks underwater.

Amazing place for me!!! Again it's not a sandy, organized beach... It's a cliff that ends up to the sea... Although, the scenery is dreamy and the waters... deep blue!!! Also, is an excellent place for snorkeling and you can see from the side the Chozoviotisa Monastery!

It's pretty small so it can get crowded in a heartbeat, but the location and view is amazing. If you swim out a bit you can see the monastery build on the mountain

It's probably one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The water is so blue and clearly. You can both walk and dive into the water since there's both a beach and some beautiful cliffs. It's a very calmly place, with almost no boats or other sounds than from the waves and other tourists. It's also a nice... More
