It’s ok but to be honest I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. You have to walk to get there or you can get a boat. Personally I don’t think it’s any better than some of the lovely empty beach’s along the way there were lots of people there . If you are walking ( and if you go by car or scooter you still have to walk part way ) it’s tough !!!

One of the biggest lies about the island. An isolated beach always windy. Rough sea with a sign that it has dangerous currents. 12 euros to get there simply wasted. We left the beach as soon as possible desparated.

Heaven, especially for snorkelling. The water's so transparent that it's almost as if there were nothing between you and the sea-bed, except that the water's clearer than air, the colours are more vivid and cleaner than they would be seen through air, and everything appears slightly magnified, as though through a lens. That, with an endlessly fascinating and varied landscape on the bottom, rich with marine life.
It's perfectly possible to walk there, but don't do it when the sun's high. Take plenty of water and sun-cream.
Like many places in Greece, it's best when there aren't too many other people around - i.e. not at the height of the summer holiday season.

We had a rental Car so hiked in. It takes about 45-50 minutes each way. There is a water taxi that can take you also. Bring your umbrellas, water, beer and food because there are no services. Water is crystal clear and wonderful.
The beach was pretty empty when we wete there. Check the water taxi schedule and go before or after. There were only a few dropped off when we were there. Not a deterrent at all.

There are 2 ways to get here. By boat or a 20 minute walk. The walk is not particularly strenuous but the path down to the beach (and up again!) is rocky, steep and a bit unstable.

Beautiful beach. Half sandy - half more pebbly. Crystal clear water. Very picturesque with the rock formations around and behind the beach.
Transportation by boat was very easy and nice. On the way back, the boat went inside a cave for a minute (just to see, no swimming).
There's nothing (no umbrella - no drinks/food). But, if you go around 15 - 16:00, there's nice natural shade by the rocks behind. We went around 16:45 and left around 18:45.
I wouldn't spend the day there, but a short afternoon trip was really enjoyable.

Amazing colours of the beach! Its reachable via boat (10 euro per person) or walking (although its very hot and the walk is long). We stayed for 4 hours as it was too hot and there were no places for drinks/food. Very nice day!

We left our scooter on the street and walked for 10 minutes in the middle of an amazing country side landscspe. Then we saw it. A beach like you can only Dreams of. The way down is steep but not to worry. Cristal clear water. Quite and simply gorgeous.

My favourite beach on Folegandros, probably because of its remote(ish) location. Most people seem to be put off by the hike in, about 45 minutes from the port, latterly over a rocky and uneven path, and with a steep drop down to the beach. The last bit down used to be quite tricky, but on our last visit it was evident that some attempt to improve access had been made. Very peaceful most of the time, tranquillity only interrupted when the round-the-island cruise comes in - but it only stops for around 1 hour, so normal service rapidly resumes. Very much a clothing optional beach, but if this offends it is long enough to allow you to escape. Absolutely no refreshments, so necessary to bring your own water and food. And then settle down and enjoy being away from it all. Not much sand, mostly shingle, and quite steeply shelving, so not so good for small children. Reasonably protected from wind, so rare to find waves a challenge. Reasonable snorkelling too. Because it faces east, and has cliffs behind, it doesn't hold the sun until late in the evening.

Perhaps seeing it under ideal circumstances, August but with low numbers... Pretty quiet, just the flow of people coming/going from the hourly boat and a steady trickle of those braving the walk down the hillside/cliff.
Water was very clean and clear and the beach is coarse sand / gravel. The sea is cool, something I prefer and there is a warning sign regarding strong currents.
There's a regular naturist presence at the left hand end of the beach (if facing the sea). All seem to cohabit quite happily.
There are no facilities of any kind, nor is there any shade. Do come prepared with suncreme, food, water, umbrella and whatever else you may need.
