The setting that Gallery Art of the loom is located in was built in 1866 and was originally used as a winery serving the needs of the local society for wine production. After the great earthquake of 1956 the building remained untouched until 2010 when we renovated it and maintained intact the traditional cycladic architecture.Today the Gallery houses some of the best works by many well-known Greek artists which include oil paintings, jewelry, ceramics, glass and bronze creations and many others. In our opinion we have created an actual place of art, so enjoy!!!

I tend to go to the gallery overlooking the caldera, love the artwork, jewellery, but most especially the glass works, particularly the fusing glasswork by Mary. I have two of her pieces now and if the opportunity arises in the future will purchase another. So check it out.

I love this Art gallery in Santorini, and the owners are so nice and helpful. They tell us about the artist and the story behind the artwork. So, if its art and not "cheap tourist souvenirs" you are looking for, this is definately the place to go. Beautiful art pieces, something unique to bring home from Santorini. Really nice !

This is an amazing gallery with high quality and very very unique art. The fused glass work by Mary is magnificent. We purchased a stunning turquoise vase and now are enjoying it so much.

Art of the Loom Gallery is a real find, filled with unique, stunning pieces in every medium imaginable. We worked with Costas and Ala, who were extremely helpful (and not the least bit pushy). We bought a somewhat fragile piece, and they packaged it with such immense care, that it took 10 minutes just to unwrap it, and it was... More

As a self confessed hater of holiday shopping this was actually enjoyable. The staff were so helpful and came up with great ideas without being too pushy. The glass and jewellery were lovely. Easy to find on the way from Imergovili to Fira before you get to the cable car.

My husband and I stopped here on a walk from Fira to Imergovili, drawn in by the beautiful glass artwork. We bought a blue and gold angel and to our horror our kids wandered off instead of waiting at the door of the shop. Maria was so kind and helped through the next frightening hour. She is our angel! Thank... More

We came across Art of the Loom in a free guide book called Santorini today. It is tucked away behind the cable car at the top of Fira town. The shop has some amazing things that are so different. I purchased a painting influenced by ancient Thira and a glass vase, It's so unique. The jewellery is also lovely.

This is my favorite shop in Santorini. Beautiful works of art including formed glass, oil paintings, and ceramic pieces of all sizes. I fell I love with a beautiful oil painting of a tree upon which a boy and girl made of aluminum was sitting on a swing. They will ship to America. I found several lovely pieces I plan... More
