ok, so without a guide you will just see rocks and a bit of explaination here and there. with a guide you understand the gravitas of where it is you are standing. This was better than visiting Egypt. fully worth all the steps. Get a guide. The end.

We visited the asklepion as part of an island tour package. The first thing you should know is that the is a charge for this attraction, while it is worth while, this wasn't made clear when we booked and paid for the island tour. The attraction itself is stunning in a beautiful location and steeped in some great history. The... More

Breath-taking! I was expecting a pile of rubble not a 'WOW'. Takes you back in time. Well worth a visit. We took the little train from Kos Town center which made the journey there more fun. There is limited shade on the site so make sure hats and sunglasses are worn. There are a lot of steep steps so wear... More

Visiting the island of Kos, this is defiantly a place to visit. Where Hippokrates started to heal people.

This Asclepion is considered to be the biggest from the main 3 (Trikala, Athens if i remember well and this in Kos). It is better to visit the place in the early morning in order to avoid the heat. The information provided to the monuments are too general.

This sight is well worth the visit (you can even get a bus from Kos town). Lots of detailed information on this important historic sight dating back to BC. Really interesting and only €8 each, set in a lovely forested area so would be relatively cool in the summer months.

We arrived in October 2016. The entrance to the rose 7 Euro ( children up to the age of 12 free ). The ancient exciting impressive and return you to the time. The place was quiet and relaxing and offers stunning temples and connects you to this forgotten culture
