We visited twice. It was a nice 40-minute walk from Livadia in the daytime, and a nice walk back. In the evening, we took the free bus and looked at the stars and the uplit ruins. We also had a few cocktails to the tunes...More

deserted village-walkable from Livadia and can be combined into a round trip to Lethra beach. Interesting- no signaposts etc in village and could not find high-level path marked on map down to Elephant cave area

Worth a visit. Original town abandoned in the 50's, except for a few still maintained structures, church, monastery, and bar (only open at night). Highly recommend the round trip walk for anyone fit and capable of walking for three hours. Leaving Livadia to the north,...More

It’s not often you get to walk around an abandoned 15th century village (though it was abandoned in the 70’s), and as this is one of the main attractions on Tilos, make sure you do it. It is interesting to walk around, in and out...More

We never got around to seeing the village during the day, but ended up going twice at night for drinks. The setting with the lit up houses at night is eerie and the view of the night sky is amazing. It's worth going just for...More

We felt a magical attraction to this place, could almost feel the souls who lived here and abandoned this place. We visited at day time but also at night when the unique bar lightens the deserted houses and music comes to you like an echo...More

As the title suggests, very surreal experience. Fantastic views and certainly very memorable. Free shuttle bus there starts 11pm until 4 or 5am. Worth it for the view of the night sky alone.
