One of the best hikes i have ever done. The nature, the gorge, the sound,... just amazing. I can recommend the 17km hike. Ok, the last kilometer uphill is tough - but the landscape is fantastic. hike it!

Hiked for three days around this gorge. The walk to the church and the river from Vicki's village was the highlight. The vantage point from beloi lookout is also exceptional.

We walked here 3 days after the rain - and it was slippery going downhill (and you will have lots of downhill, as the path goes up-down-up-down on the first half once you're in the gorge). The views are amazing.

We did this as an organised trip from nearby Parga, so glad we did, what a stunning place. Visited a couple of villages in the region, which to be honest looked like nothing I have ever seen in Greece before, utterly gorgeous. Walked to a...More

Liv Hi We are traveling with 2 kids and are pretty fit for hiking. still cant seem to find how many KM from Monodendri to Vikos? Are we better off going the other way from Vikos to monodendri? or if it is too long can we just hike Vikos to the springs and back or Vikos to the springs and then to mikro Papano?

Dear Eytan. I am afraid can not tell you exactly how long is the trail from Monodendri to Vikos. From the distance we have walked I estimate that is approx 17km. Its a long walk but pretty smooth one. It has descent/ascents... More

Hello the path and perfectly signaled the directions are white-red, I recommend the exit to vikos as you find yourself directly on the state road for the monodendree, many hotels perform a "recovery" service with car at cost... More
