The place where the bridge is built, is the narrowest point of the channel, and the water current can reach the speed of 15km (9 miles) per hour! It is really interesting to watch the reversion of flow direction that happens about every 6 hours. The exact time of reversion is determined by the position of the moon.

You can drink coffee or eat near the bridge. The interesting thing is that the water change direction every 6 hours and you can observe this strange phenomenon from the bridge.

The bridge is interesting when it lifts in order to pass by some boats. Otherwise is very crowded. Just walk around the seaside.

The bridge is an excellent location to observe the changibg of the tides, and there is a medium-sized cafe right on it where you can sit and admire the whole panorama.

Perfect time to enjoy the bridge is when it is scheduled to open for boats and ships to cross. You can see the approx time on the sign next to the bridge. We went there at 22:30 and the whole process took about 45 minutes....More
