Enjoy the marvellous church with its genuine Byzantine architecture and by far the best mosaics in Thessaloniki. The name "Achiropiitos", meaning non hand made, was given for a reason... for sure!

A large basilica, one of the grand early churches of Thessalonike. Only parts of the original decoration survive, but the volumes and play of light are impressive.

A rare find of a Byzantine church in/near centre of town. It has lovely mosaics, some of which still retained its colours.

I often go I Thessaloniki and I cannot miss this church... huge, very calm and with beautifull mosaics (mosts are near the roof)
