Thessaloniki (also known as Salonika) has a lot to offer. There are very interesting and beautiful things to see and do. Especailly recommend the White Tower, the Science Center and the two shuls (one prewar and the other relatively new).

jewish museum thismuseum is very well planned to gain a insight into the history of the jewish community who thrived under the ottoman empire [450 years]till the end of first world war. til the Nazi occupation when they were sentby railway to the death camps.
