The Acropolis and Ancient Theater of Sparta is one of the sites I have visited on more than one occasion, again purely for the historical and aesthetic view the site has to offer, this town once was the master of all of Greece when the...More

Certainly the top tourist attraction in Athens. Huge crowds and people swamp the place. Also major restoration work going on. Steep stairs en same were quiet slippery. Beautiful view over Athens from the top. If you are into Greek mythology, you will enjoy this place!

You can witness firsthand a raw archaeological site: no ticket, no renovations! Ruins and a semi hidden ancient theater! If you have time go for a walk, it's within walking distance from the city center (about 10-15 minutes on foot)!
