Visited here on a very hot day, went by bike but from where you park it is still a very long trek and I would say that you have to be quite physically fit to do it. Great views on the way and well worth getting there, very interesting and the guy that was there gave us good information. If... More

you can access this on a boat trip but quite a steep climb from the beach and by road but a steep incline to get down. We hired a quad bike and loved the trip. You will need to be fit to do this trip but well worth it to take in some culture- Loved all the old buildings, history... More

Wow what a place. If you are not good on your feet don't risk it. We went on our Quad bike and parked right down the paved road as far as you can go as advised by people we hired quad off. You then start the walk up to Kastro along narrow paths and loose rocks. It is brilliant when... More

From the car park it is a steep walk down a cobbled road to the rougher track that takes you over the cliff tops to Il Kastro. The path is not one I would recommend if you are wearing flip flops additionally as it is very open you need to make sure you have sun cream on and take some... More

We visited Cape Kastro ( which we believe was the old town ). We had to walk the last few hundred yards as the lane was not suitable for a car. Nothing here except a number of old derelict buildings and some one selling local wine . we were glad we went but we would not return . Not much... More

Well worth a visit but don't expect the sort of safe paths and lookouts we are used to in the UK. The HSE never got a look in here. Having said that, as long as you wear sensible foot ware and take your time you should be ok in dry weather. I personally would not be happy in wet weather... More

We stopped at the beach as part of a boat trip, and were told we had an hour there. One of the things we had hoped to do was to go to the old il kastro dwellings on the hill. Although middle aged, we do go to the gym and go for walks so felt relatively fit. We started walking... More

Taverna at bottom of the cliff was the highlight of our stay. Eating fresh seafood with views of fort and beach. Moderately steep hike back to car. Afternoon well spent.

I went here with my other half on a bit of a whim, we'd been out for lunch & went for a bit of an explore!! We thankfully had hired a jeep so could drive fairly close, but to say it was a bumpy ride would be something of an understatement!! The walk along the cliffs edge is beautiful &... More

We headed there expecting to see a ruined castle, but it was so much more and very interesting. The views from the rock are outstanding and worth the hike just for that. Kastro is quite a way from the nearest car park, also quite steep and uneven in places, you don't need hiking boots but definitely wear something comfortable. It... More
