At Nyborg Castle you can visit the halls where the Danish king in the Middle Ages called the parliament (Danehof) together. Representatives from the whole country gathered here to make big decisions about Denmark's future - and to hold extravagant feasts and thrilling jousting tournaments.

Excellent castle, with interesting rooms and able to walk through the entire attic once reserved for the Night Watchmen with terrific views over the town; also recent excavations have helped with a new interpretation of the site, revealing more buildings.
