This compact museum provides a good introduction to Viking culture. They weren't all about marauding and plundering; they were farmers and townspeople, as well. There are a few artifacts on display and a number of explanations in Danish and English about their houses and lifestyle....More

There is not a lot of space to work with down here, but what they have done with the place is lay it out so that you do not have to stress about seeing everything. The displays offer a great insight into Aarhus at a...More

This is a compact, downstairs location right next the Rolex shop in the Latin Quarter area. You can easily walk by it and not notice it. It's set up nicely. They excavated below street level and ran into old Viking houses. The museum is laid...More

Located in the basement of a Nordea bank, this little museum displays Viking era artifacts uncovered on site. Worth a short visit.

If you have people that really can't stand museums or you're only in town for one day then squeeze this in. No viking ship any more (maybe it was moved to Roskilde?). Otherwise go to nearby Moesgaard Museum for a much better more interactive viking...More
