Arken Museum is situated out of town on a short train ride from the centre. If you have the Copenhagen card the transportation is free. When you get off the train you have to wait for a bus to take you to the museum. The bus goes every 30 minutes. I spend a great rainy day in Arken. There are... More

We saw the Gerda Wegener Exhibition Right around the time "the Danish Girl" came to the cinemas and it was really lovely done. It was nice to get a chance to see what Gerda created, especially before her husband turned to Lilli Elbe. The permanent exhibition didn't really appeal to our taste but only for the architecture's sake this museum... More

An array of exhibitions beautifully displayed in this large modern museum. Something for all types of art lovers. Saw Damien Hirst for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. Not packed with tourists, so you can go at your own pace without feeling rushed. Look out for the outdoor exhibits as well. Around a 20-minute walk from the railway... More

This museum is outside the city of Copenhagen but it is a very interesting morden art musem. Most of the art is contemporary but the women who inspired the movie Danish Girl was exhibited with a great collection of her art.

It has been a few years since I have been here. I have been visiting the museum regularly since it opened in the spring in 1996. Again an amazing experience - the location is stunning, the architecture of the building is wonderful and the art was amazing. Special spaces and special atmosphere. A significant work of Danish architecture with the... More

In a way a spectacular museum situated in the dunes, right at the baltic sea shore. The exhibition this time was the one of Gerda Wegener "the Danish girl" -- very modern at the same time some times so art deco. Do not miss it!

Interesting place with different exhibitions each month. It takes around 30 min by train from CPH city center and then 15 min walk.
