This is, I guess, a very good art gallery, but when my wife and I visited it there was, well, a very bad smell everywhere inside it (like an old hotel with wet carpet). We only stayed an hour or so and had to leave because it was kind of nauseating.

I love this well designed and setup museum with quite a collection of artifacts and art pieces. If not for my time limitation I would have stayed much longer to admire the art works especially the Landscape by Van Gogh. I guess I'll be back!

I am only a desultory museum goer but I found this one to be small enough and with enough variety that I enjoyed my visit. The winter garden was pleasing in March and the Rodin sculpture impressed.

We visited this beautiful place on our walk back to our hotel from the national museum. We were delighted and amazed at the extensive collection of statues, some very famous, in various materials, plaster, bronze and marble. The collection of French art and antiquities is also amazing. Lovely cafe in the winter garden, and a nice stroll through the garden... More

We doesn't an afternoon wandering around the excellent exhibits. Great wee coffee bar that also served a welcom beer. Incredible exhibition of sculpture, paintings and the most complete collection of Degas Sculptures in the world. A wonderful winter garden to sit and cuddle template, be staying peace and chill.

Wow...this is amazing and totally worth going to. We had a Copenhagen card so got in for free but I would have paid to get in. The sculptures are amazing and the building is stunning too. I highly recommend a walk round the garden at the rear of the building. Lovely flowers

If you like art and archeology, you must visit this splendid museum. Their collection of statuary, paintings, archeological artifacts is wonderful. I loved every second of the time I spent there. If I go back to Copenhagen, I'll visit this museum again, no doubt.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
