For hundreds of years the Danes were an unstoppable force of warriors, explorers and settlers – uniting Scandinavia, discovering America and bringing terror to the shores of Europe. Today Copenhagen’s history of fire and bloody battles lies hidden behind picturesque streets and colorful harbors. As the days of conquest passed, Danish power was replaced with a rich cultural legacy of writers, artists and philosophers. The fairytale feel of the city where Hans Christian Andersen wrote is the home of incredible stories and unbelievably true histories: Viking adventurers; pirate-hunting Bishop Absalon; daring Danish WWII resistance fighters and more. Our local expert guides will take you on a 3 hour walking tour through 6000 years of Copenhagen’s history and you’ll find out why the Danes are some of the happiest people in the world!

This tour is great - you see all of the highlights in a very fast and concise way, but with all of the history explained in depth. The tour guide was Carolina who was excellent and I would highly recommend!!

We did the tour on 15th Nov. Our guide was Allan. Fantastic, friendly, local guide with very knowledgeable history of Copenhagen. Provided some useful tips along the way. Enjoyed it.

Nina peppered her very thorough and informative tour with interesting and amusing anecdotes. Not necessary to pay for a walking tour when your can get one as good as this for free. (Of course, we tipped generously.) Well worth your time.

Traveling from Berlin, I was a bit cold yesterday, but thanks to Laura Bro's witty and warm introduction to Copenhagen, the weather didn't matter anymore.

This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its
blend of charming old buildings and bold new
architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well
as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner
city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which
consists of three buildings, two of which are new and
situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and
venues of the inner city and its surrounding
