The National Gallery of Denmark is a living museum - located in Copenhagen - with a unique collection of Danish and international art. It is the only museum in Denmark where you can enjoy a tour of 700 years of art history and also experience the nation's largest collection of Danish art from the eighteenth century to today's cutting-edge contemporary art. The museum provides guided tours, workshops for children, live performances, concerts and much more. When you purchase a one-day ticket, you get unlimited access to all permanent displays, special exhibitions, the Bookshop, the Café. Visiting the Children's Workshop will cost an additional fee of DKK 30. Adults: DKK 110 Under 30: DKK 85 Under 18: Free 1 adult + 1 child: DKK 90 Annual pass holders: Free Groups (10+): DKK 100 per person

There are so many things to see at the SMK that it is a bit exhausting. It's worth every minute of your time, though. There are plenty of diverse works of art there - Danish masters, great French collection with works of Matisse and Modigliani, impressive sculptures and a huge modern art section. Except large collection of Danish artists you can admire perfect collection of German and French art, Modigliani, Rouault and Derain among others. Great pieso of architecture is the new part of gallery conencted with the old building.

I was sorely tempted to rate this museum a full five stars, but the 3rd floor was closed for now (still charged the same price though... 110DKK). The 1st floor had a temporary exhibition of the drawings by August Rodin, the 2nd floor had their permanent collection of Danish and INternational art after 1900 / Danish and Nordic Art 1750-1900/French... More

Spectacular collection. Quiet and well organized. Free lockers of different sizes are provided. Also, there is a cafe with reasonable priced coffee (around 30 kr for americano)

Wonderful gallery with all kinds of works of art. Well maintained and well worth the cost. Definitely a great place to go to learn more about Danish culture as well!

SMK has a great art playground where kids can paint, create their own small art pieces that grand parents love for Christmas
