Note that this is an arsenal museum and is mostly cannons/artillery and uniforms. If you want to see vehicles or aircraft you will have to go elsewhere. I liked the special Afghanistan exhibit where accommodation and facilities were recreated - it reminds us that despite...More

I just came out, and bit disappointing, to be honest. Trip advisor had today a ca 4,5 stars for this museum but it is not that worth. I love weapons and history but in this museum many of the explanations to the canons were missing...More

This museum used to house one of the largest colections of small firearms. When visiting the museum for the first time i spent hours here. Regretfully this enourmous collection has been closed for the public. Will not visit again.

The sheer number and type of cannons in this museum make it a worthwhile stop. They are held in a lovely vaulted space, and are interesting for all ages. Upstairs are displays of armor, swords, and many more military items. There are a lot of...More

We didn't plan to visit this museum, but ended up spending more time that in any other museum. My kids love military history and there is plenty to see here.

Yes, this museum is for past military equipment and some more recent exhibits, but there is so much of general historic interests that there should be something for all. And thinking about what we read in history books; that is about wars and battles. Here...More

Two floors of varied exhibitions, the ground floor has lots of old cannons and a very good current Afghanistan exhibit but in Danish only. The first floor has lots of Danish military history in very modern display cabinets with English language explanations included throughout. The...More

This is an excellent venue for a half day out. As well as covering all things on danish military history, there is a fantastic Afghanistan exhibition which is poignant and realistic and reflects the contibution that Denmark made. Definately worth a visit.
