Very Busy Station

We took a train to Sweden. The staff was very helpful to get us in the right direction. They helped with ticket purchasing also. Train was clean and problem free.

Copenhagen Airport is just 3 stops away. There are trains to reach Louisiana Art Gallery and Roskilde to see the Viking ships. Plenty of places to pick up food and drink for your journey.

Decently maneuverable, little hectic, but trains go in most directions often. Most importantly to the airport every 20 minutes.

Although this a very busy site I did not feel that it was unsafe. It is within walking distance of several great hotels. There are several places to eat in the station as well as across the street is Tivoli.

This is a really great station of the European standard full of shops and stores. It has several grocery stores including a gourmet one, several ATM's etc. Take a little time and explore.

We were travelling to Stockholm. No passport check before leaving one country but there were police checking passports on the train. Very relaxed I thought which surprised me!

Historical building. Ticket machines would not take my credit card due to incorrect currency, had to find an ATM. The signs and directions were confusing to us, and we travel on trains in Germany all the time. Ask for clarification from train staff for correct track and time, very friendly. The train was very smooth and clean. To go to... More

A very large station indeed but it certainly has some cleaning issues. There are too few elevators for such a large station!

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
