Copenhagen Free Walking Tours invites you to join our 3 different Free Walking Tours through the heart of Copenhagen. We suggest starting with our Grand Tour of Copenhagen, taking in the famous city landmarks like Christiansborg Palace, Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace while we discuss history, culture, people, food and so much more on an easy 3 hour walk through the city center of Copenhagen. This tour starts everyday at 10 am, 11am and 3pm* from the steps of the Town Hall (Radhuspladsen). Just keep your eyes peeled for the smiliest guides in town, wearing green name badges and holding bright neon green umbrellas. You can't miss us!

Join us in Spanish at 11am or 3pm everyday at the steps of the Town Hall!

We also have two alternative tours - the Christianshavn Tour, and the Classical Tour. Both tours run for 90 minutes and see distinct neighbourhoods in Copenhagen that we do not cover on the Grand Tour.

We also work closely with Pub Crawl Copenhagen! Come and drink with us!

Please check out our website for seasonal start times, and locations. Booking in advance is not required but very much appreciated.

The best tour I ever took.

Took the 3 hour grand tour, and we found our guide to be committed, energetic, friendly, and relatively knowledgeable about Copenhagen. However, on the flipside of that, the information we got on the tour was very shallow, and we spent a lot of time pronouncing Danish words to the guides amusement. Topics covered, and jokes made, are probably more appealing... More

I was very skeptical about the tour since I usually don't like that kind of tours. I am glad I decided to take it. It was the best 3 hours I could spend during my day in Copenhagen. Biren, our guide was amazing, funny and with great attitude. He also shared some tips about where to eat and what to... More

I had the pleasure to be among the people from the group of Dan O., a great Australian person who knows so much about Copenhagen and he is so passionate about it that you will definitely fall in love with the city if you already haven't! He also recommended me a place near the city called Dragor which was just... More

I absolutely love doing any free walking tour in whatever city I'm travelling to, and this one was no exception! Jarod was incredibly enthusiastic and a great tour guide, and I was lucky enough to have him for both the Christianshavn tour and the Grand Tour ... He even seconded the people I was with into doing the night pub... More

The walking tours of Copenhagen are a must. We took two different tours and both were informative and funny. The guides were enthusiastic and professional, ready to answer questions, mindful of our safety and spoke English fluently. Lots of snippets you will not find in the guide books. Wrap up warm and wear good shoes, the east wind and the... More

These tours ARE as good as the reviews! We did two tours whilst we were in Copenhagen for three days only passing up on the bar tour as we had a three month old baby! If you want to see the city and learn a bit about history and places in an informal way then you need to do this.... More

Really excellent concept and tour. Our guide was brilliant, funny and informative. It works on a tip only basis and you pay what you feel the tour is worth to you.

Our guide was Rikke. Such a blast! Never have seen such a high spirited and cheerful woman (although it rained almost the whole time), did explain us a lot during the tour, had an unique humour, did express her wery well although we were in a group of 31 people. Go there and enjoy yourself!

It was a great introduction to Copenhagen. I had Jarrod as a tour guide, and he was super knowledgeable but also made the tour fun and amazing. He made sure EVERY person was having a fantastic time for all three hours!!! I definitely would recommend!

Neighbourhood Profile
Indre By (Inner City)
This is the heart of old town Copenhagen, with its blend of charming old buildings and bold new architecture, broad avenues and tiny streets as well as picturesque canals and a modern harbor. The inner city is home to the Royal Danish Theatre, which consists of three buildings, two of which are new and situated on the harbor front. The streets, squares and venues of the inner city and its surrounding neighborhoods, are alive all year round with everything from jazz festivals to outdoor ice skating rinks and parachuting at the lakes right in the center of the city. This compact area boasts beautiful old castles, tranquil parks, and bustling squares where you can always find a bench to stretch out your legs whenever you need a break.
