This is known as a good place to get a sampling of Danish and other kinds of food but our experience of the cuisine here was mediocre and expensive. It's a pretty space, and has lots of open air dining. Public toilets are clean. But...More

Pastries, coffee, smoothies... they’re here. All very civilized and tasty, but lacking the narrow aisles, variety, surprises and general chaos of Europe’s great food markets. Stop on by if you’re in the neighborhood, but not sure I’d treat is as a “destination”. And certainly does...More

If you're visiting Copenhagen to experience the food, Torvehallerne Market is the best place for traditional Danish pastries. There are around 60 food stands including chocolates, porridge, smørrebrød (Danish open sandwiches), fresh fruit, tapas and much more so it's definitely one to visit when you're...More

My Partner invited me for a mystery lunch. We started our walk from Christiansborg and 25 minutes later we have arrived at what I would describe as AArhus Street Food on mega scale. Walk itself was enjoyable, passing attractions like 3 Storks Fountain, Round tower...More

We have been to many food markets and this is one of the best. It is near a metro station so it is convenient to travellers and it was not far from our hotel (Ibsens). It is across from a park area with lots of...More

Ok, I get that there may be bigger nicer markets in London Borough Market or Pikes Place Market in Seattle. But I have just spent 15 days in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark) and there hasn't been anything like this along the way. So, kudos...More

Lovely market hall, however I’m only focusing on GRØD here. Second time In Denmark and only one place I’ll go for porridge! All freshly made, Go for the “all in” caramel, chocolate, nuts banana and much more......enjoy!!

Honestly was expecting more based on reviews. This was merely fine. Rather small market mostly indoors with a collection of food stalls. Nothing like Pike Place in Seattle or Reading Terminal Market in Philly (both of which I would rate as must-sees). If you’re in...More

Nice food market with a variety of Danish specialties. We had an open-faced sandwich from one of the food stalls. It wasn’t cheap though! There were lots of places to sit outside.

I'm not sure if there are specifically halal/ pork free stalls. However there are lots of stalls selling fish and sea food, pastries and vegetarian options so you will be able to find food that is meat free.

The cost is equivalent to GBP£6 or GBP£7 and I think that two is the right number. Alternatively one open sandwich and a pastry/cake. Enjoy your time in Copenhagen
