Amaliehaven is a small park on the waterfront adjacent to the royal palaces. There area three impressive water features, and upper and lower level walkways. There was a large flock of small birds feeding in the garden when we visited.

Very nice park on the water in front of Amalienborg Palace. Looks across the water to the Copenhagen Opera House.

It's only small but well worth a visit on the way to see the little mermaid. They have huge hosta beds and stunning flowers. Two waterfalls mirror each other either end of the gardens. With a nice waterfall in the middle. It has such a peaceful feeling, with lots of benches to sit on and take a moment of contemplation.... More

Small garden on the waterfront, near the Amalienborg Palace. It is a peaceful spot and you can access the waterfront and stroll in both directions. When we were there, the Royal Yacht was parked across the water. Not enough to be a solo destination, but great to visit while visiting the palace and a nearby church.

Small and beautiful park located between Amelienborg palace and the waterfront. It was opened in 1983 on a site of an old shipyard, that was later converted to the port terminal. It is a calm, green oasis perfect for having a rest from visiting the city...

We thoroughly enjoyed just sitting in these gardens and relaxing. There are glorious views of the waterfront and of the Opera House. The flora in the park was also very good.

Amaliehaven is a small park located between Amalienborg Palace and the waterfront Frederiksstaden neighbourhood of central Copenhagen. With a central fountain the park is on two levels, with shrubs and walls enclosing it from the waterfront on one side and the street on the other. Plenty of blooms in evidence and also a number of sculptures. Well worth a visit... More

This was such an amazing little park! I loved the array of flowers and trees and the water fountains were absolutely beautiful. I would love to go back and set up a small easel and paint for a while. Absolutely recommend.

Not worth a specific trip to the 'park' but if you're nearby or walking along the waters edge then quick stop is ok. Check out the fountain or the views across the water.
